What can you expect from a Spanwall system?
The ultimate visual success of any composite panel façade depends on the achievement of one key element - flatness. At Spanwall, we have long understood this and it is the starting point from which we design and produce all our panels. Using PVF2-coated metal outer skin and polyester coated metal inner skin we bond panels together over their entire surface with a specially formulated polyurethane adhesive, to a CFC and HCFC-free insulating core. Panels formed in this manner are extremely rigid and, depending on wind loading and panel lengths, can span between the vertical supports without the need for any mid-span bracing.

Achieving flatness in one panel is only part of the story - maintaining it across the complete building façade requires an accurate and rigid method of retaining each individual panel. All Spanwall architectural wall cladding systems feature an extruded aluminium vertical grid. This lightweight section is fixed to the structural steelwork and the grid can then be truly aligned and plumbed off the main or secondary support structure. The use of this vertical grid controls the set out and speed of installation.
All horizontal and vertical joints include at least two EPDM extruded gaskets providing a weather sealed, self-draining system, tested to British Standards.
