Design and Programming Department

EDM’s custom built design department currently utilises leading edge 3-dimensional CAD software to design and manufacture it’s complex sheet metal components. This 3D parametric software delivers superior productivity with regards to the design process, producing shorter manufacturing lead-times, ensuring the delivery of higher quality products at a faster rate.

This powerful CAD software gives the designer the advantage of visualising sheet metal components ‘on screen’ to ensure they exactly meet the customers requirements, prior to actual manufacturing taking place. Using these 3D sheet metal models, the designers can then generate ‘flat pattern’ geometry of the components, ready for the automated NC/CNC processes.
